I’m Brandon Powell — girl dad, lifelong learner, teacher, philanthropist, technologist, marathoner, and founder.
Over the last decade, I’ve helped companies adopt new technologies and build global teams. But AI is different — it’s not just a tool, it’s a transformation. And I believe the best AI outcomes are human-centered. I lead with empathy and deliver with clarity, helping organizations take smart, grounded steps into the future.
A Business Builder Since Age 12
I started my first business at 12 out of necessity — raised by a single mom, I learned early on that entrepreneurship wasn’t just about money, but creating opportunity. By 14, I launched my first real venture and never looked back.
That spirit led me to build HatchWorks — bootstrapped from the ground up to a 200+ person, award-winning AI services firm operating across the U.S., Colombia, and Costa Rica. We were recently named the #1 AI Services Company in the U.S. by Clutch and recognized by Inc. as an AI Power Partner.
Going All-In on AI — With Purpose
Two years ago, we pivoted fully into AI. Today, HatchWorks is leading the shift toward Generative-Driven Development™, helping companies adopt GenAI and LLM-based systems the right way — with confidence, clarity, and business value.
But my mission goes beyond implementation.
I believe in making AI human-centered, accessible, and empowering for people at every level of the organization. That’s what drives my work — and what shapes how I teach, lead, and speak.
A Mission Bigger Than Business
I believe businesses should exist for more than profit — they should create impact.
That’s why I founded Hatch Futures, our nonprofit arm focused on STEM education and AI literacy for underserved youth in the U.S. and Latin America. Our goal: Train 1,000 educators in AI by 2030 across Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Colombia, and Costa Rica.
This is personal for me — because I’ve seen what happens when people are given the tools to thrive. That purpose is woven into everything we do at HatchWorks, and it’s why we’ve sustained a 99% employee retention rate in the hyper-competitive AI space.
